Single-Vehicle Serious Injury Crash

ADAMS COUNTY, IDAHO – Idaho State Police is investigating a single-vehicle serious injury crash that occurred on September 7th, 2026, at approximately 12:13 a.m., northbound on US95 near milepost 171, north of New Meadows, Idaho.

A 2013 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by a 54-year-old male from Payette, Idaho, was travelling northbound on US95 at high speeds. The driver lost control and the vehicle rolled, landing upright in the middle of the lanes.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken via ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

North and southbound lanes were blocked for approximately five hours while emergency responders assisted those involved.

The Idaho State Police was assisted by Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Meadows Valley Emergency Services EMS, Meadows Valley Emergency Services Fire, Idaho County Riggins EMS, and Idaho Transportation Department.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
